This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or book a clean, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where it applies to you, to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The controller for the data described here is the company named on the imprint page, at the address given there. Questions about your data, and any request to exercise the rights below, go to the email address on that page. We answer within 30 days.
To carry out a booking we need your name, your email address, the address to be cleaned, and any notes you choose to give us about access or the property. We generate a booking code and store it with that record. We do not ask for a date of birth, an ID number, or payment card details on this site.
This website is a set of static files. It sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party analytics, and does not profile you. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, time, the page requested and the browser's user agent — for security and troubleshooting. When the page loads it makes one request to our own booking API so that it is awake when you need it; that request carries no personal data.
Booking data is processed to perform the contract you entered into with us (revFADP art. 31; GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Server logs and the basic security measures around them rest on our legitimate interest in running a site that works and is not abused (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Where we ever ask for consent — a newsletter, for instance — you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what was lawful before.
Booking records are kept for as long as we are required to keep business records, which under Swiss commercial law is ten years for anything with an invoice attached. Notes you leave for the cleaner are deleted once the booking is complete. Server logs are kept for a short period and then rotated out. A cancelled booking's code stops working immediately, whatever the retention period on the record.
The cleaner assigned to your booking sees your name, the address and the access notes, because they cannot do the work otherwise. Our hosting and database providers process the data on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and our servers and backups are located in the EU or Switzerland. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where no legal retention duty stands in the way, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also receive it in a portable, machine-readable form. Ask by email; we may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can ask on your behalf.
The site and the API are served over TLS. Access to booking data is limited to the people who need it to do the work. A booking code is a credential in its own right — anyone holding it can view and change that booking — so treat it the way you would treat a key, and tell us if you think it has gone astray.
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first: it is usually the fastest fix. You also have the right to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, if the GDPR applies to you, to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
We update this page when what we do with data changes. The date above shows the current version. If a change materially affects existing customers, we tell them by email rather than relying on this page alone.
