Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every cleaning service Gorbi provides, unless we have agreed something different with you in writing.

1. The contract

A contract comes into being when we confirm your booking — on screen and by email, with a booking code. The confirmation states the service, the date, the time and the price. Anything agreed by phone becomes binding when we send it to you in writing.

2. Prices

The prices on this site include 8.1% Swiss VAT. Hourly work is billed by the hour with a minimum of two hours, rounded to the nearest quarter hour after that. Flat-price move-out cleaning covers the rooms stated in the booking; a balcony, cellar or garage is an extra and is priced as listed. Work outside 07:00–17:00 carries the out-of-hours surcharge shown on the prices page. We may change our published prices at any time, but never for a booking already confirmed.

3. Payment

We invoice after the visit, payable 30 days net, or by card where offered. Regular customers are invoiced monthly. Late payment carries interest at the statutory rate; before it comes to that we will send a reminder and, if something has gone wrong on your side, discuss it.

4. Moving or cancelling a visit

You can move or cancel a visit free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts, using your booking code. Inside 24 hours we charge 50% of the visit, because the cleaner is already paid for the slot; a no-show, or a door nobody can get through, is charged in full. If we have to move a visit, we tell you as early as we can and offer the next slot that suits you; if we cancel and cannot offer an acceptable alternative, you pay nothing.

5. Access

You give us access to the property at the agreed time, tell us about anything that affects safety, and secure valuables and pets. Where you leave a key with us, it is logged, held securely, used only for your bookings and returned when the arrangement ends. If we cannot get in, clause 4 applies.

6. What we provide

We bring our own products and equipment, including a vacuum cleaner, unless you ask us to use yours. We need access to water and electricity. Our staff are employed by us, paid to the applicable collective agreement, and covered by our insurance while they work for you.

7. Complaints and the redo promise

If you are not satisfied with a visit, tell us within 48 hours of it. We come back and put the work right at no charge. That is our first remedy on every job, and we ask you to let us use it before asking for money back — we cannot fix a clean we were never told about.

8. The handover guarantee

For move-out cleaning we go further: if the letting agent rejects the property at the handover on a point of cleaning that was within the agreed scope, tell us within 48 hours and we return and redo that work at our cost. The guarantee covers cleaning. It does not cover damage, repairs, wear, pre-existing defects, or items outside the scope you booked, and it requires that we were told the handover date.

9. Liability

We are liable for damage we cause through fault, within the limits of our public liability insurance. Report damage within 48 hours of the visit so it can be assessed while the evidence is fresh. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, for wear that shows once dirt is removed, for items whose care instructions we were not given, or for indirect loss such as lost income. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or gross negligence.

10. Ending a regular arrangement

Regular plans have no minimum term. Either side can end one with a month's notice to the end of a month; skipping or pausing individual visits does not require notice at all. Building and caretaking arrangements are ended in writing on the notice period in their own agreement.

11. Not soliciting our staff

Please do not hire a Gorbi cleaner directly, or through anyone else, while they work for us or within six months of their last visit to you. They are trained, insured and covered while they work for us, and none of that follows them to a private arrangement.

12. Governing law

Swiss law applies, and the place of jurisdiction is the seat of the company as stated on the imprint page. If any clause here turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence are not affected by this clause.
